TechNotate is committed to high standards of ethics, conduct and fiduciary responsibility. As such, TechNotate does not tolerate SPAM (also known as unsolicited bulk or unsolicited commercial e-mail) in any way or form.
Purpose
To clearly state TechNotate's position regarding SPAM
To establish a protocol for reporting and responding to incidences of SPAM
To standardize the approach to investigations of SPAM and help ensure objectivity in decisions regarding each incidence
:: THE POLICY ::
TechNotate prohibits the use of its Services in any manner associated with the transmission, distribution or delivery of any unsolicited bulk or unsolicited commercial e-mail ("SPAM").
Any and all forms processed by TechNotate must be located on an actual web page and not in any e-mails. It is prohibited to mention or place a link to TechNotate in any e-mail sent to more than five (5) recipients.
We will notify the ISP or access provider of any spamming activity by an individual, and prompt them for action against that person. Using the service in any way for spamming purposes, whether directly or indirectly, will expose an individual to legal action.
If any of the provisions of this Policy are found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
Definitions
These terms and definitions apply to this policy with no implied or intended site-wide use.
SPAM; An inappropriate attempt to use an e-mail address, mailing list, newsgroup or other networked communications facility as if it was a broadcast medium by sending the same message to a large number of people who didn't ask for it.
How TechNotate fights SPAM
When SPAM e-mails are reported to us, TechNotate:
· Conducts internal investigations into the source of SPAM emails and associated accounts.
· Immediately disables perpetrators using TechNotate accounts to process forms in SPAM e-mails or websited advertised in SPAM.
Although personally identifiable information is confidential (see our Privacy Policy), when deemed necessary, TechNotate will divulge information about the identity and actions of suspected perpetrators of SPAM to interested parties and law enforcement authorities.
What to do if you receive SPAM
If you received an email that you suspect involves SPAM of any kind, please immediately inform TechNotate by contacting us at submit@technotate.com.
