Pecuniary Purposed Marketing

This particular section describes a particular type of  Leveraged Marketing" commonly known as affiliate networks.  It may also be referred to as a strategy designed for "Pecuniary Purposes Only". It is intended to enlighten novices as to the possibilities and pitfalls of web marketing.

Marketing on the World Wide Web offers some rather peculiar instances in which practically anyone can share in the profits of larger corporations and do so with very little effort. Obviously, like me, you are skeptical in respect to this statement and for very good reasons.  Yet, I suggest you raise a better objection than mere pessimis; otherwise you risk missing an opportunity to grab a share of the revenue. Most refer to this type of marketing campaign as an 'affiliate network'. I tend to favor my own phrase which is "Pecuniary Purposes".  Pecuniary is defined as monetarily related only. In short, this type of marketing strategy is intended to produce nothing more than income as a result. There is no long term benefit or advantage other than getting paid for successfully driving a unique visitor and translating it into a commission.

Allow me to enlighten you on this particular type of tactical marketing whereby you really can derive an income despite having no marketing knowledge, no experience, own no domains, offer no service nor sell any type of product of your own. It really is possible. I call such an opportunity for income production an "Everyone Wins" opportunity.  Before I explain the finer points, I direct your attention to the banner shown below.

I have no doubt you have seen similar banners elsewhere on the Internet. This is a second type of leverage marketing strategy.  From this point forward, we will refer to this second type of leverage marketing strategy in respect to your long term marketing campaign is concerned.  This secondary leverage strategy has limited shelf life in respect to longevity. This type of revenue stream is designed as a give and take situation that typically has a short life cycle in respect to your interests. I label this type of marketing efforts as  "Pecuniary Purposes Only".  In other words, timing is everything as far as affiliate programs are concerned.

There is one final point to exploring various affiliate network programs regardless of whether or not you are successful in this marketing niche. . .you will walk away with a good grasp of what not to do in respect to your own skill set and the World Wide Web.  Plus, you will enjoy the benefit of this wisdom later when you develop your own Internet site, product or service.  Mind you, 'Knowledge is Power' and often times the educational value of a pile of failed attempts will save you money when you design and implement your own marketing campaigns.  Realistically, most new web sites launch with little if any money allotted for a marketing budget. The one exception being Barack Obama's 2008 Presidential Campaign, his fundraising success allowed him to properly plan and implement his campaign with little if any regard to budget. Clearly, a healthy marketing budget raises the opportunity for success so keep this in mind while planning any web development project.
